Home Renovations FAQs
Do I need plans approved for my renovation?
Cosmetic work such as painting, flooring and finishes usually does not need approved plans. Structural changes, extensions and some other building work generally do need municipal approval. If you are unsure, check with the City of Cape Town or your architect before work starts.
Can you renovate a bathroom without replacing everything?
Often, yes. Depending on the condition of the existing surfaces, decorative finishes such as screed can sometimes go over sound existing surfaces after proper preparation. We assess what can stay and what should be replaced during the consultation.
Do you handle plumbing and electrical work?
Plumbing and electrical work is arranged through our trusted partner network, so your renovation can be coordinated as one project.
