Epoxy Flooring in Cape Town

A smooth, glossy resin finish available in many colours and applied over most surfaces.

Epoxy is a resin-based coating that cures into a smooth, glossy and seamless surface. It is available in many colours and effects, from a solid single colour to a marble-style finish, and it can be applied over most sound surfaces, including existing concrete and screed.

Because there are no joints or grout lines, epoxy floors are easy to clean and resist many everyday spills. The glossy surface reflects light, which helps rooms feel brighter and more spacious. That makes epoxy a popular choice for modern living areas, kitchens, garages and commercial spaces.

Good preparation is the key to a lasting epoxy floor, so we check and prepare the existing surface before any resin goes down. Our finishes are backed by a 2-year guarantee. Book a free consultation to talk through colours and the right system for your floor.

Epoxy Floors FAQs

How do you clean epoxy floors?

Sweep or dust-mop regularly to remove grit, which can dull the surface. Mop with warm water and a mild, pH-neutral cleaner, and avoid harsh solvents, acidic cleaners and abrasive scrubbers. Wipe up spills promptly.

Are epoxy floors slippery?

A high-gloss epoxy can be slippery when wet, like most smooth floors. Where grip matters, such as near entrances or in wet areas, an anti-slip additive can be added to the top coat.

Can epoxy be applied over tiles?

It can be applied over tiles that are firmly bonded and properly prepared, although grout lines may need filling to get a smooth result. Loose or cracked tiles must be dealt with first. We assess this on site.

How long does an epoxy floor last?

It depends on the system used, how well the surface was prepared and how much traffic the floor gets. A well-installed and well-maintained epoxy floor can last many years, and the top coat can be refreshed when it starts to show wear.
